Hair loss
Keep what you have. Regrow what you've lost.
Evidence-based hair loss treatments — prescribed online, delivered monthly, and adjusted by a clinician who actually follows up.
Why hair loss happens
The most common cause of thinning hair is androgenetic alopecia — pattern hair loss driven by a hormone called DHT (dihydrotestosterone). DHT shrinks hair follicles over time, leading to shorter, finer hairs and eventually a follicle that stops producing hair. The two most-studied, FDA-approved treatments work in opposite directions: minoxidil stimulates the follicle, and finasteride lowers DHT. Used together they often outperform either one alone.

The medications, explained
Plain-English summaries of what each option is and how it works. Your provider will recommend what's right for you.
Minoxidil
Also known as: Rogaine (topical)
Widens blood vessels around the follicle, increases blood flow, and lengthens the active growth phase. Available as a 2% or 5% topical solution/foam, or as low-dose oral minoxidil for stronger or scalp-wide results. Safe for both men and women.
Finasteride
Also known as: Propecia (oral), topical formulations
Blocks the enzyme that converts testosterone into DHT, slowing or reversing pattern hair loss in men. Available as a daily oral pill or a topical formula with fewer systemic effects. Generally not prescribed to women of childbearing age.
Dutasteride
A more potent DHT blocker than finasteride, sometimes used when finasteride isn't enough. Prescribed off-label for hair loss in select male patients.
Combination Rx
A single topical that can combine minoxidil, finasteride, and supportive actives (like tretinoin or anti-inflammatories) into one daily step. Often more effective and easier to stick with than juggling multiple products.

Common questions
How long until I see results?
Most people see noticeable change in 3–6 months. Consistency is key — stopping treatment typically reverses progress within a year.
Is finasteride safe for women?
Oral finasteride is generally not prescribed to women of childbearing age. We offer minoxidil (topical or oral) and other options that are safe and effective for women.
Will I have side effects?
Most patients tolerate these medications well. A small percentage of men report sexual side effects from finasteride — your provider will discuss the data and alternatives so you can decide what's right for you.
Can I use these together?
Often yes — combination therapy tends to outperform single treatments. Your provider will recommend the right stack for your hair loss pattern and history.
